Bebeth

The 2nd blog is dedicated to my first child, Bethanie, we call her Bebeth sometimes. I decided to create one for her, as it is not fair if I only created one for her sister to be - Charmaine. This is to capture the precious moments and her milestones from now 15 mths till she grows up. Hope you enjoy it!

Birthday 3 years old

Tuesday was her birthday. We did a small birthday celebration for Beth in her school. In fact the week before was a tough week, I was preparing my exam and I really felt stressed out. We bought some snacks for children and packed ourselves. Luckily my mom was still around, she could help me packing all the goodie bags for kids. We went to pick up the Thomas and friend cake from Angela at Woodland, she was really creative, I loved the cake so much. So did Bethanie. On her way back, she kept on looking back to see her birthday cake, and when the cake was put in the fridge, she kept on opening the fridge and she would say "mummy i just only see the cake" :p I am happy to see her happy. Before long, she has been saying and talking to me or over the phone (pretending calling her ama) that her birthday was coming, mummy was going to buy a thomas and friend cake, etc. My hubby went out on Sunday to buy birthday balloon for her and also the birthday gift. On the morning itself, she woke and she saw the birthday present (blocking for creativity) on the table, and somehow she knew that was for her. See her picture with her present. And of course the Thomas and friend cake. You know what? We paid $155 for that cake!!! But it was worth it, she loved the cake and so did I.

Know how to spell words and her name

I taught a few days about small letters and capital letters and the writing. This book was bought from Popular. She knew how to hold pen in the correct grip. And her colouring skill has been improved.

One day I just tested her, beth, how do you spell this word, and the long words comprised capital and small letters. Amazingly, she just spelled everything correctly and fluently. And yesterday, she asked me first, mummy, how do i spell my name and she spelled correctly herself too.

oh yeah, there are 3 more dvd - leapfrog series added to her collection. Math circuss about numbers, code cape letters, and learning how to read story books. And.....as usual her response is always positive and enthusiastic. Both of them, beth and charmaine love to watch all the leapfrog letter series..............this is a worth investment. I am glad i bought them. this is a lazy mother's way to teach toddler about reading and words. ha..ha... but it's effective and perhaps more effective and efficient if i were to teach them in traditional way.
