Leapfrog Letter Factory

Thanks to Baybsupplies Forum that exposed me to Tamarind's blog
http://tamarindvillage.blogspot.com/2008/02/reading.html, this has motivated me to start teaching Bebeth about reading and phonics. I decided to buy her recommended Leapfrog Letter Factory dvd from Amazon. I bought two, another one was Leapfrog Letter Talking. The 2 dvds arrived yesterday, and I quickly played for Bebeth. She was excitedly watching it and her eyes were glued at the TV, I knew she must enjoyed it very much. After the show, as usual she would ask me to read a story for her, this time she selected Goldilocks herself, and then she would pray to God before she slept, and she sang the song from Leapfrog Letter, amazing, she liked it very much. She went to her bed in her room and while I was online typing the comment about this DVD, I could hear her singing out from the room. Guess what, it's the dvd song, a says ah....b says beh.....etc

Good Friday @ SENTOSA

It was a bright and sunny day in the morning, but whether turned to a gloomy day later in the afternoon. Anyway, it didn't rain, and turned out to be a nice day. We headed to Sentosa, as promised to Bebeth, we were going to bring her to ride cable car and luge. After I came back from my yoga, and had steamboat...hmmm....that's a delicious meal for a lunch,....we had fresh gao yu, prawns etc......yummy. I asked her to wear the swimsuit, in case we had time to play at the beach, well....in the end we didn't, because the luge queue was sooooo long. But we had a good time. She could not stop talking about her experience about riding the cable car and luge.

Book/Story lover

Almost everynight she would ask me to read story book for her, now Goldilocks is her favourite story. I would read once and she would ask me for the second time. Ok.....because of her request, i read again, and I dozed off, ha...ha...some children will be doze off if you read story for bed time, but this is the other way around, i am the one who doze off. She looked at me, almost closed my eyes, ....mummy...you are tired.........

Scared of me.........

I came home and started to look at the colour pencils. She didn't want to play anymore, yes......she was scared that if there were missing pencils, I would be scolded her for that. I have to teach her to be more responsible, if she finishes playing her toy, she has to keep all back neatly and tidy up the place.

Good mummy.........

Yesterday I was emotional, partly caused by my anger why I had this sucked life. ..............she didn't want to listen to me, didn't want to eat her dinner, so as usual I scolded Charmaine. Bethanie said," later I tell mummy don't be angry, angry is not good, and I want her to be good mummy and not angry mummy" She said that to my maid.

That words slapped my face, yes, I know.................
I should have changed it.......

Whacked by me again

Sometimes I really regret if i flared up towards her. I am sometimes confused about myself. shall I raise my voice and whack her or I should be more gentle and ignore her irritable behaviour. I am not sure, as I am scared if she will grow up by copying what I have done to her. But if she is not disciplined, I don't want her grow up spoilt. hah...........sigh..........

she is actually a very loving child. Last night I came home around 9pm again, and i showed her my cut finger. She straight away went to ask for plester for me, mummy get cut, and asked auntie Rona to take for me. Then she kissed the wound. She was so sweet.

These two nights she has been sleeping with the new maid, cause she didn't want to sleep alone in her bed. She said she had a dream.............i am not sure what night mare she had dreamt of, but......is it the time for her to get all the nightmares?

one and one,..........I love auntie

Last Monday, we sent off our 2nd maid who has lived with us for 2 and half years. Nimfa left to Philippines for good, and looking for greener pastures in Italy on her way back. She has been a good helper to our family, and she has been always in good relationship with Bebeth and Charmaine, both of them love her, as she could get along with them very well. She would teach them songs, played with them, carried them, and there were times when I was really jealous to her.

Well, only Bebeth followed us to airport, she was on the car and as usual she was talking non stop, either singing, asking questions, or talking. She was cheerful that morning, she wore uniform. And she sang that song, one and one, I love mummy, two and two, I love daddy, three and three I love charmaine, one two and three, I love everybody. Yup, that song is translated directly from Indonesian song. To my suprise, that day, she changed the lyrics, she paused, one and one...........I love mum...."I love auntie". ..............Nimfa was touched and cried when she sang that.

We went to Burger King for breakfast. She had a cramble egg and a cup of milo, which she loved drinking it.
